Shanti Uganda will be going through some changes!

The Shanti Uganda Society is rebranding and we’re looking for a few volunteers to redevelop the Shanti Uganda website.
Shanti Uganda improves infant and maternal health, provides safe women-centered care and supports the well-being of birthing mothers and women living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda. We imagine a world where birthing mothers and women living with HIV/AIDS are supported, empowered and able to develop to their full potential.
Our goal is to increase our web presence, develop our e-commerce site and powerfully share who we are and what we do with the rest of the world.
All volunteers will receive credit on the site and a gift from the Shanti Uganda Women’s Income Generating Group.
We’re looking for the following volunteers:
1. Producer/Project Manager
This detail focused person will help to lead and manage this project from start to end, and set deadlines and targets for the members of the team.
2. Web Strategist – approx. 10 hours Total
This person will help us to determine the overall strategy of the project. Tasks include working with staff to complete a content assessment of our current website, determine what is and isn’t working, develop a site map for the new web and e-commerce site with a strong strategic focus, and aid in developing a tight wireframe for the team to move forward with.
3. Web Designer – approx. 40 hours Total
This creative person will work with our web strategist to develop wireframes, design a site interface that is on strategy, and create web-ready files for the web developer. The web designer will work with our print-designer to apply our new brand look and feel to the website. Photos, color schemes and fonts will be provided.
4. Web Developer – approx. 10 hours Total
This person should be familiar with Wordpress and Shopify to help combine our website with our e-commerce site. They will be responsible for building a site that is easily updatable for the Shanti Uganda staff, and has the flexibility to evolve with the organization.
