<p>Midwives at the Shanti Uganda Birth House receive a fair living wage, continuous training and contribute to reducing maternal and infant mortality rates in Uganda. If you or your practice would like to make a tax deductible commitment to improving maternal and infant health in Uganda, consider sponsoring a Shanti Uganda midwife for one year.</p>
<p>$300 a month for 12 months = An annual contribution of $3600</p>
<p>Here are three easy & fun ways to sponsor a Shanti Uganda Midwife:</p>
<p><strong>1 – Sister Practices</strong> <br />
Ask five midwives you work with to co-sponsor with you. In a group of five, each will be contributing $60 per month. You can either each mail in 12 $60 post-dated cheques, pay $3600 upfront, or contact shantiuganda_treasurer@yahoo.ca to set up direct deposit using credit card or debit.</p>

Through your own fundraising and support either mail in 12 $300 post-dated cheques, pay $3600 upfront, or contact shantiuganda_treasurer@yahoo.ca to set up direct deposit using credit card or debit.</p>
<p><strong>3 – Cross-disciplinary Activism</strong> <br />
Reach out to the nurses, family practice doctors, obstetricians and anaesthesiologists you know and form a larger inter-disciplinary team to support Ugandan women together. Your yearly contribution can be sent in the form of one $3600 cheque upfront, 12 $300 post-dated cheques or contact shantiuganda_treasurer@yahoo.ca to set up direct deposit using credit card or debit.</p>
